I knew I would be getting more use out of my dresses! That cool spell didn't last too long and it's gearing up to be one of the hottest (and stickiest) weeks of the summer. Which is somewhat fitting since it is officially the last week of summer. I wish I were more saddened by this..but I'm not! Fall is hands down my favorite time of the year for infinite reasons. But first and foremost, fall means that baseball season is practically over (well, almost) and I'm one step closer to having my beloved roommate back. And that means that A) I'll be posting more B) I'll be the happiest girl on the planet.
Onto outfit details..this dress is somewhat old. I got it last year (maybe even the year before) at Nordstrom in the TopShop section. Although, it's not TopShop. It's ASTR. If you're like me and shop at Nordstrom frequently then you are probably very familiar with this brand as it is one of the cutest brands in the store. At least I think so! Now onto the shoes..you can truly never have too many pairs of booties. And booties are offered in just about any color you can imagine. To me, booties can be worn just about any time of year. Just depends on how you style them. I think they worked perfectly with this dress. When it starts get a little cooler then I can always add my go-to dark denim jacket. And since this dress is more "business in the front, party in the back," I decided a simple yet bold stack from Bourbon & Boweties would complete the look. I'm not always crazy about outfits that are too "matchy" but this one works. I think it is because of the pattern. It feels a bit organic and B&B also have that similar feel. Check out the photos below and let me know what you think of my first transitional outfit for fall.
PS: In case you were wondering, I did not cut my hair. It seems my layers fell forward in some of the photos. However, I kind of like it. Maybe one day I'll have the guts to cut my hair that short.
