Layering a Latte

Pumpkin Spice Latte season is upon us..and so is layering season. Two things that I cannot get through fall without. Well actually, if I'm being completely honest I'm more of a Sea-salt Caramel Latte kinda gal. Doesn't mean I don't enjoy the occasional PSL though! But as you can see, I've started layering because this weather is perfect for just that. The tank that I've worn underneath was a vital part of my summer wardrobe that I'm easily transitioning into my fall wardrobe. Since I gravitate toward bigger clothing, I wanted to make sure the base layering garment was long enough. I know it's kind of strange, but each time I try a piece of clothing on I raise my arms up and wiggle around a bit to see what happens with movement. I'm assuming most people don't do this and just judge the garment by simply standing. Well, I like to make proper use of my clothing and if any inch of skin somehow manages to show it's an automatic 'no'. I found the sweater at Marshall's last weekend for $14 and I could not be happier. Thankfully, when I went I had on this tank and I was sold the second I tried it on. Next, I added my new go-to distressed skinnies by BlankNYC from Nordstrom. If you're in the market for distressed skinnies, these are the winner! I'm telling you that you will not be disappointed. And since the weather has been so wonderfully perfect, I am still able to get some use out of my chestnut Guess sandals. Usually, I'm not one for matching but I've been really enjoying wearing my chestnut sandals with my chestnut Whipping Post tote. To finish it off, I added some of my new favorite accessories from Bourbon & Boweties, Initial Reaction, and Michael Kors. And that's what I call simple style.
