Who doesn't love polka dots? Okay, well maybe not everyone loves polka dots. If you're one of those people, hopefully by the end of this post you'll feel differently about them. I typically don't think of myself as a bargain shopper but after hearing Christian tell me that I am, I am starting to believe it! I bought this dress from Francesca's last summer, you guessed it on the clearance rack. I thought it would be a fun dress to wear for a date night or something a little more formal, but as you can see I styled it a bit more casually. I don't know if it's just me, but whenever I wear flats I consider the outfit a bit more on the casual side. And of course, I didn't style just any flats. I had to add just a little bit more by adding my Steve Madden lace-up flats. So this is the last time I'm telling you, go buy them if you haven't done so already! Besides the obvious reason that they are stylish and on trend, they are the most comfortable flats I have ever worn. They have never caused a blister either. To all my flat wearing sisters, that speaks volumes. Am I right?
But back to polka dots! There is certainly a right and a wrong way to wear polka dots. This dress works so well and isn't too overwhelming because of the size of the polka dots. Imagine if the polka dots were smaller, I mean a lot smaller. You would probably wind up with a headache after reading this post. And I certainly don't want that! The color combination of the polka dots also plays a major role. I'm more of a neutral kinda gal but I think with the right color that polka dots can work. I think that a white polka dot is pretty much always a must though.
