Five in Twenty-Five

Five in Twenty-Five

Twenty-five? Ugh, I can't even believe that I am saying that. I feel like I'm still a sixteen year old girl. Anyways, today is my birthday so I decided I would share a few things I've learned during my twenty-five years of life. Side note: I keep thinking the more I say "twenty-five" that I'll actually believe that I'm twenty-five but it's not really working. I pondered a few ideas for this post and since twenty-five is such a large number, I'm going to share the 5 most important things (to me) that I've learned in twenty-five years.

O N E | Remember to celebrate yourself | Whether it's a small accomplishment or the biggest one yet, don't forget to pat yourself on the back for all of the wonderful things you have accomplished. This life is so tough and we all need to give ourselves more credit.

T W O | Be comfortable being by yourself | Being a baseball gypsy to a professional athlete has taught me that I need to be comfortable by myself. There are more days throughout the season where I am by myself, but honestly, I don't mind those days. I have my own goals and aspirations that I am working towards so I value my time alone. It is the perfect opportunity for me to work on all of the many things I hope to accomplish. But don't get me wrong, I live for my time with Christian too!

T H R E E | Let it be | This is a mantra that I literally live by (it's tattooed on my wrist because I love it that much). More recently I have mended my relationship with God and I could not be happier about it. I talk to him about my struggles but I know in the end I cannot worry about it because I just need to let it be and let Him do what he does best. It's all in His hands.

F O U R | Laughing is the best medicine | Besides my family and friends, I have to say the thing I love to do most is laugh (and also hangout with my chihuahua children). There is nothing I love more than comical times and jokes with my favorite people. I live for the pains in my stomach from laughing too hard. I live for the silly moments.

F I V E | Always say I love you | It's not until you lose someone you love when you realize that you maybe didn't tell that person just how much you loved them. I'm just going to say this, don't forget to say I love you to the family and friends that you love. It is never cheesy or annoying. Lord knows I say "I love you" Christian about 20+ times a day. But you know what, he knows exactly how I feel about him.

Even though I'm getting older, I don't necessarily feel like I'm getting wiser. hat are some of your best words of advice to a twenty-something gal? Any funny stories about your twenty-fifth birthday? Let me know in the comments below!

Thanks for stopping by!

PS: If you know me then you probably know that this dress is so outside my comfort zone. I'm still on the fence about it but glad I had the courage to try it! #babysteps
