With the weather still nearing 70 degrees or so, I've felt more inclined to take advantage of my dresses before it gets too cold. Now you may recognize this dress from a few posts back. It's actually a sleeveless dress that I found at Nordstrom. And I love it because it is so versatile. I feel like I definitely repeat myself but I've realized that I personally enjoy simpler clothing and then a few fun pieces that spice up my wardrobe. Whether it be a fun leopard cardigan, glitter flats, or a unique statement necklace. Hats have also made a big come back and I am utterly obsessed with big floppy hats. Surprisingly, I think that they look good on just about everyone. I think it's a matter of feeling comfortable wearing it. Don't get me wrong, I put on a hat and I think "Oh my gosh! So cute," then I realize that I cannot drive with it on. And that makes me kind of sad. But if you've been dying to try a hat, just take the plunge. Check out places like Target or Nordstrom Rack for a cute wool hat that won't cost you an arm and a leg. When I first started gaining interest in hats, I found one I loved at Urban Outfitters but checked out the price tag and decided against it. So word of advice, you can find a cute wool hat for about $30 or less, you just have to look in the right places.
And since I'll save the best for last. I have to gush about these Steve Madden flats that I found at Nordstrom. I ordered them on a whim, expecting to completely hate them. But I had seen so many strappy flats and I really felt like these had a good balance. As in, not too much strap for a flat like some of the other options I've seen. Plus, they are also offered in a beige that is just perfect for fall. And these are shoes that I was a bit hesitant about but I am so glad I stepped outside of my comfort zone and tried something different. The reward paid off and I love them! Most of all, they are extremely comfortable, even during the first wear! Which is big deal for pointed toe flats. Hope you like them as much as I do!
