Really Red

From the second I bought this sweater I felt a little inspired. I'm not typically a big holiday person as I like Thanksgiving the most. But when I found this sweater in H&M last week, I figured I'd give it a try. Boy, am I glad I did! The best part about this sweater, it makes a statement and it was under $20! That is steal, which rarely ever happens to me. I'm definitely going to be restyling this sweet sweater a few more times before the holiday's just so you have some other ideas about wearing a bright bold red. Because I know, I used to primarily wear muted colors and I stayed away from bold pops of color (as I was a bit afraid).  After you feel confident wearing something bold, it really boosts your confidence though and you'll be more inclined to try bolder clothing and accessories.

Since the red is dominant, I kept it simple with a dark skinny jean. And the outfit was pretty dark all together (and it was a bit chilly) so I added my go-to faux fur vest. If you don't have a faux fur vest yet, you must add it to your Christmas list! It's a great staple to any wardrobe. If you're not into faux fur, try any textured vest. It really breaks up an outfit and adds some texture. As I always say, sometimes simpler is better. I certainly try to keep it simple with my everyday garments, then add fun items here and there.
