Blue Peplum Top
We made it to Friday! Typically, I'd be sharing a 'First Friday' post but I wanted to share this outfit with y'all instead since you loved it so much on Instagram. I have a feeling it's definitely going to be repeated quite a few times, even through fall. All I'll have to do is add a simple light wash denim jacket (or blazer) and I'm good to go! I always like to layer in the fall winter months because I still make use out of my clothing from summer. Perhaps, not my dresses (but even still sometimes I can manage to do that, too!).
Anyways, if you're one of those people that constant resorts to black; this post is for you. There's a new color in town and it's called blue. So it's not really new but it's a color that is just as neutral as black. The black on black look can times be a little overplayed. Over worn? Whatever, you know what I mean. Not that I'm not a fan of a black on black look but I'm just trying to broaden your horizons because I know how difficult it is to break out of the black wardrobe. One way that I like to bring more color into my wardrobe is by creating a look known as the Canadian tuxedo. It's the one that I'm wearing in today's post. Yes, blues on blues. But here's the kicker, different shades of blue are what set this look apart. Just trust me on this though, once you try it, it'll probably be your go to. With blues, you can usually add just about any pop of color that your little heart desires. Turquoise, pink, yellow, red. You name it; the sky is the limit! Which can also help you break into some fun accessories, too! Just in case they are a little outside your comfort zone.
So just try it. And if you do try it, let me know how you liked it. Oh, and if you're on the market for dark wash jeans you have got to check out the pair that I'm wearing. So comfy, great quality, and UNDER $50 from Saks. I'd say that's a win. Hope y'all have a great weekend!
