Boho Vibes + The Slip You Need

Well it's a rainy Wednesday here in Sarasota today, which perfectly correlates to my current mood. So it's safe to say I will be staying inside today completing lots of computer work. Which is actually a good thing because I am so behind on e-mails! But let me rewind and apologize that this post is coming a tad late today. We've got some things going on personally so just bear with me, please!

So let's get into this outfit because it's one that I love! If there's one thing to know about me it's that love to get use out of all my clothing. Which is a good and a bad thing for you! Because it means tops like this one in today's post are no longer available. But I'm sharing a few other similar tops that you could recreate this look with. Anyways, I got it a few years ago at Bloomingdale's in the Free People section and I absolutely love it. I love the beaded detail and think that alone, the top makes such a statement. I was poking around in my closet the other day and I wanted to figure out a new way to wear this top because I've only ever styled it with jeans. So there I was browsing the slip section online at Free People and stumbled upon this slip. And let me just tell you something about slips and why they are important: they can literally change an outfit. Without a slip, this top is too short to wear as a dress. Add a slip and it completely changes the look! I did the same thing over the holidays with a sweater dress that I typically wore with leggings. I felt the same way, I wanted to restyle and get more use out of it. So I purchased a simple black lace slip and paired it with the dress. I got so many compliments over the holiday's about how I restyled it. So if you're on the fence with a top or dress, try pairing it with a slip (preferably a lace one, the exposed details are always so pretty) and I'll bet that you love it!

How else would you styled this FP slip? Let me know below!
