First Friday | August 2016

Happy First Friday! I cannot believe I am saying that because it means that we are in AUGUST. Holy cow. With this edition of First Friday, I'll be starting with some beauty products that I've tried (and loved) this past month. Plus, some other things I've been really into this past month!

O N E | I tried fun lipcolor | So I know I'm not the only girl who wants to try fun and different colored lipsticks. I also know I'm not a millionaire so as much as I'd like to go spend $30 on one lipstick, that's just not realistic at this point in my life. Instead, I've been trying out drugstore lipstick and focusing on colors that I've been wanting to try. For me, I've been really into different (bright) shades of pink! To my surprise I purchased the Tarte lip color first and found that the Revlon lip color literally is the same exact product! Both go on so nicely, almost like butter. If you're wanting to try a lip color but aren't into the $20+ price tag then I highly recommend the Revlon! You won't be disappointed.

T W O | I'm loving tassels | I know this is nothing new, but I'm the happiest girl when I hit the mall and find tassels everywhere. Recently, I found these gold tassel earrings at H&M. But I also found some other beauties at Francesca's too! And the yellow ones seen here are also from H&M as well (and were under $5)!

T H R E E |  Sephora Formula X Nail Polish |  I'm usually not one to appreciate nail polish because let's face it, if I paint my nails I'm sure to mess them up in 2 minutes. But I cannot believe how nice this nail polish is! It dries so fast and with a layer of Seiche Vite topcoat I am good to go. It lasts a few days before chipping which is more than my Essie and OPI nail polish lasts so I will take it.

F O UR | My current guilty pleasure is reading | Sounds so boring, I know. I think I have seriously learned to  appreciate "quiet time" and the beauty of sitting down with a book. To me, there is nothing more satisfying then reading a book. I'm a sucker for Alice and Wonderland so naturally this book is being reread (I reread books A LOT). I'm awaiting the arrival of the new Harry Potter book and literally cannot wait to begin that! (I'll probably do a review of some sort of that, if that would interest anyone? Just let me know please!) Also, I don't know how I've gone this long without reading Girl Boss. I love the book and all of the insight it offers! Sophia Amoruso is so dang honest and it is something that I truly value in this book. If you're a #GIRLBOSS then this book is for you!

F I V E | Macarons are my weakness | I've had macarons numerous times but never any this good! The flavors seen below are as follows: Vanilla Birthday, Pina Colada, Cookies & Cream, Banana Pudding, Nutella, Caramel Macchiato, Sea Salt Carmel, and Strawberry. And OH MY GOSH! [insert heart-eye emoji] I can't even. I could have literally eaten all twelve of these. One of my favorite things about them is that they are made from Almond flour so they are still "allowed" on the meal plan that I've been trying to stick to. Small win for this girl! Did I say small? I mean, HUGE win!

Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out what I've been into this past month. What have you been into? Have you read any good books? I'm always looking for new reads! I'd love to know in the comments below!
