First Friday | June 2016

Happy Friday, gang! I've been going back and forth with ideas. I've tried a few ideas for blog posts to publish consistently. So here's my next idea known as 'First Friday' where I'll be discussing pretty much what I'm reading, lusting over, or current events of some sort.

ONE | I'm currently reading: Bad Girls of the Bible and Me before You. We'll just refer Bad Girls of the Bible as "BGOTB" since it's sorta a mouth full. This is my first bible study that I've ever been a part of and I'm so happy I decided to take part in it. Moving to a new area, or for me, a new state, it has been a great way to build friendships. So far, I've enjoyed the book and am so looking forward to the upcoming chapters. Me before You is probably the most talked about books amongst friends and bloggers. I literally just snagged it from a girlfriend yesterday and I cannot wait to begin reading. Plus, the movie just came out today and Khaleesi (Danaerys from GOT) is the lead female role.

TWO | I have recently purchased: a new pair of Soludos from Anthropologie. From the second I recieved the e-mail that they shipped, I've been tracking their whereabouts nonstop. I saw them first on Hey Jule and fell in love with them. I ordered my Soludos in gold, well because obviously gold is my favorite color. I can't wait for these beauties to arrive!

THREE | Something new that I've tried recently: is eating no grains. Living with two very fit men (Christian's Strength Coach, Trevor) I've learned a lot about health and diet. There is so much crap in the food that we eat so I've become really conscious about what I have been putting into my body. If you're itching to jumpstart your diet or get on track with better eating, try eating without grains. That means no bread, no pasta, no rice, no oats. Grains naturally cause inflamation throughout your entire body so that's why after you eat a bowl of pasta you feel like a hippotomas. After about 1-2 days of no grains my body instantly changed. I've given myself cheat meals every so often too, well because I love donuts (and it's National Donut Day). I recently tried a Chick Fil A chicken sandwich and after a few bites, I wasn't even impressed with the bread. Give it a try, I swear it's a lot easier than you think.
