I'm not sure where you're reading this from, but I recently relocated to Virginia so I just need to say: what the heck is this weather? One day it's 50 degrees, the next day it is nearing 90 degrees. I may have only moved a few states away, but it feels like I'm in a different state everyday. Maybe this happened in Pennsylvania, but I just can't remember anything this drastic! So lets hope the warmer temperatures are here to stay!
Anyways, if there is a trend that I'm infatuated with it would be patterned pants. This trend emerged last S|S but seems to have stuck around a bit. A lot of focus has really been on bottoms with the appearances of culottes and wide-leg (cropped) trousers reemerging. And I have to say, I'm actually surprised that I like them! I'm not really on board with bell bottoms just yet and I'm not too sure I will be this go 'round. I wore them for the duration of my middle school years and think they'll be staying in retirement for me. So instead, I've been really interested in trying out pants that make more of a statement. What better than a (comfy) pair of patterned pants! Am I right? I never really thought about it until now, but I typically keep it to one statement item per outfit. Be it a huge statement necklace, pants, or shoes. Typically the rest of my outfit will be rather simple. But it works for me! What's your favorite way make a statement? Are you a jewelry queen? Do you prefer trendy garments? I think I'll be doing a little bit of both! I'm definitely working a pair of culottes into my wardrobe this summer too.
Thanks for stopping by!
PS: My tan lines though? I mean really. I guess that's what I get for spending all of my days outside now! Oh well, at least I'm getting my vitamin D.
