Happy Friday loves!
Another September Friday in the books and we're getting closer to our move. I couldn't be more excited. If you would've asked me two years ago, I probably would be freaking out. The thought of leaving my home-town scared me. Now though, I feel like I've grown into such a different person and the idea of moving to new areas is so exhilarating to me! Which got me thinking, I love the idea of growing and becoming the person I am meant to be. So instead of discussing the outfit details (since they are all linked below) I'm going to be sharing a few personal goals of my own!
ONE | Read a devotional every single day. | It sounds so simple but you'd be surprised at how often I am reading a cluster of my daily devotionals all in one day. Instead, I want to make it a point to give myself 10 minutes to read every daily devotional on the assigned day. I'm currently reading Jesus Calling but if you have any other daily devotionals you love, let me know!
TWO | Stick to a routine. | I'm planning on changing our daily routine up once we are in Florida. I want to make it a point of getting up earlier (probably around 8AM) and go to bed earlier as well. Baseball season forces us into very late bedtimes and even later wake up calls. It's one of the worst things to wake up and only get a handful of hours in sunlight. By sticking to a new routine, I'm hoping to get all of my daily tasks (walking, working out, blog tasks) done before noon. That way I have the rest of the day to enjoy with my little family.
THREE | Read one new book every week. | I used to really love reading and not that I still don't, but I just can't seem to find a good time to read. I used to cruise through books when I was going to the pool but I reduced how often I went to the pool so I could focus more on my work (and it's paid off)! I'm currently reading Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, but am looking for some new reads once I finish these up! Suggestions?
FOUR | Let it be. | This is a mantra that I live by. I've totally changed my perspective and attitude as a person with this previous move. I feel like now I get less stressed over little things and even the big things don't seem to stress me as much as they used to. There are quite a few friends/family in my life that I want to help get the "let it be" attitude down. So they can stress less and enjoy more. It's literally changed my life and I am so grateful that I have finally learned to just let it be. But also to trust in God.
FIVE | Try new things. | Sounds so simple right? But again, after we move I want to look for some new activities to try. Friends of ours are certified scuba divers and they search for Meglodon teeth. I mean, seriously how cool is that?! I just want to try to new activities and learn as much as I possibly can.
What are some personal goals of yours? I'd love to know in the comments below!
PS: Also, another personal goal of mine: To stop spending so much money on Starbucks coffee. Instead, I want to find some great little local coffee shops in Sarasota to support. If you know of any, please let me know!
