Well, it's been a minute since I've been on here to share a blog post. Not that my blog is going anywhere, but I've just been trying to navigate through some things. I've got a list of blog posts that I hope and plan to write, but ya know sometimes time just completely gets away from me. I set aside time to draft a blog post and then I get sucked in to getting caught up on my e-mail or unloading the dishwasher. There's always something and I'm sure that's something that many of you can understand.
So I'm sure some of you are located in places like myself where there are no signs of fall in the future. Christian is in San Francisco playing the Giants right now and all he kept saying to me is "It's so cold. It's like beginning of the season cold." Which gives me mixed feelings! We moved to a place where the winters are mild because we don't really care for the winter months. We are both born and raised in the Northeast so we've dealt with our fair share of miserably cold weather. With that being said though, it'd be nice for a little break in our humid South Carolina weather though. The upside to all of this is that transitional pieces really serve a purpose in my wardrobe. I can truly style a dress right now then add some layers to it in 3 months and feel fine! I know in Pennsylvania that would not fly!
At any rate, I'm sharing a dress today that I think y'all will love. It's a black + white striped sleeveless shift dress. Say that fives times fast! Reason #1 why you need this dress and let's start with the colors. B+W are one of those color combinations that can pretty much go with anything. Literally, anything. Reason #2, is the fit is flattering on almost every body type. Did I mention it's comfortable? Reason #3, the material is the perfect weight to wear right now but also perfect for throwing on a denim jacket or cardigan later. Reason #4, it has pockets. I don't think I need to elaborate on why it's so important. It just is.

So I'd love to know where most of y'all are from. Will you be using transitional pieces or has it already gotten cold? Let me know in the comments!
